How to remove chocolate stain

From cotton

Rugs and carpets. Cover with talcum powder and let it act for a few minutes. Afterward, the vacuum cleaner is passed and the chocolate remains are removed by rubbing with a mixture of water and alcohol in equal parts.

Washable fabrics. The chocolate stain is easily removed with water and liquid soap. The first wash should be with cold water and the second with hot water.

Non-washable fabrics. In this case, it is best to rub the stain with a mixture of ammonia and 50% alcohol, applied with a cotton cloth.

From wool and silk

Recent stain. For delicate fabrics, the best remedy is to remove surface debris under a good stream of cold water. Then cover the stain with transparent liquid soap (especially for delicate garments) and let it act for an hour. Afterward, it is rinsed very well with lukewarm water.

Dry stain. When the stain has time and the chocolate has penetrated a lot into the fabric. It should be softened with glycerin (spread with the fingertips) and then place the stain between two absorbent papers with some weight on top. It is left for a long half-hour and is normally washed with soap for delicates.

– If in either case (fresh or dry stain) remains to remain, the area must be soaked with 90º alcohol diluted in a little water and rubbed with a soft bristle nailbrush.

From the wood

Waxed or varnished. It is simply removed with soap and water, but if the cocoa oil has penetrated the varnish, it can be rubbed with a cloth soaked in hot water and ammonia and rinsed well. If the stain is very deep, then it will have to be rubbed with a cloth soaked in gasoline.

Natural. It can be cleaned by making a mixture with borax and water (in a proportion of 15 g of borax per ¼ liter of water). If It is placed as a plaster on the stain and left to act for 15 to 20 minutes. It then removes with a damp cloth and dries well.

From marble

– If the stain is still fresh, just wipe it with a soapy sponge with shampoo and dry it well with a cotton cloth.

– But if it has time and is very attached to the porous surface of the marble. The best remedy is to rub with a cotton soaked in 12-volume hydrogen peroxide until it disappears. In the end, it is rinsed very well with warm water.
